Hold a state-specific credential that lets you work as a caretaker where you live? List it — that is what we match a job’s requirements against.

How it works

Three steps, the same on both sides of the marketplace. Post it or build it, get matched, and we take over the part nobody enjoys — screening, paperwork and follow-up.

Read the full process
01

Create the shift or the profile

A family or facility posts the role, the schedule and the requirements. A caregiver builds a profile with their credentials, experience and availability.

02

Get matched

We put the shift in front of caregivers whose credentials and location actually fit it — CNA, home care aide, RN, LPN, nanny, PT, surgical tech or care driver.

03

We handle the rest

The background check, the credential review and the approval happen before a family sees anyone. You talk to people who are already cleared to work.

Nine roles

CNA and home care aide through RN, LPN, nanny, PT, surgical tech and care driver.

Background-checked

A screening company runs a check before a caregiver can apply to a family.

Approved by a person

Profiles are private and reviewed one at a time by Gilgalcare.

Built for the settings care actually happens in

A living room, an assisted living unit, a hospital floor and a hospice bedroom ask for different people. Gilgalcare staffs all of them.

Home care

One caregiver, one living room, one person who gets to stay home.

Facilities & long-term care

Assisted living and skilled nursing units, staffed shift by shift.

Hospitals

Local nurses and surgical techs who can step onto a unit and work.

Hospice

Calm, experienced hands for the hardest weeks a family will have.

Pediatric home care

Nurses and aides who make a child’s own bedroom the best room to recover in.

Therapy at home

Physical therapy that happens where the stairs and the tub actually are.

What stands between a stranger and your family

1

A background check stands between a profile and a shift

No caregiver applies to a family until a screening company has run and returned a check. A profile that has not cleared is not visible to families or facilities.

2

Credentials are read by a person

Every profile names what the caregiver actually holds — a CNA, a state-registered home care aide or the specific credential your state requires to work as a caretaker — and Gilgalcare reviews it before approving.

3

Gilgalcare approves each profile

Profiles are private until approved. Nothing appears on this site, and nothing reaches a family, until someone at Gilgalcare has looked at it.

Read exactly how the background check stage works, and what a caregiver needs to clear before they can apply for a shift.

How screening works

Start where you are.

If someone you love needs care, post the shift. If you are the one providing it, build your profile. Either way, a real person at Gilgalcare reads it.
