One marketplace, two front doors
Gilgalcare is built so that the person who needs care and the person who provides it go through the same three steps — create it, get matched, and let us handle the screening and the review. Here is what that looks like from each side.
If you need care
- 1
Post the job
Say who needs care, the setting, the schedule and what the role requires. Two minutes, no charge, and it does not have to be polished.
- 2
We match it
Your posting goes to caregivers whose credentials, location and availability actually fit it — not to everyone.
- 3
You meet cleared people
Nobody reaches you until their background check has cleared and Gilgalcare has approved their profile.
- 4
We stay on it
Schedules change. If a caregiver drops out, tell us and we go back to the shortlist rather than starting over.
If you provide care
- 1
Build your profile
Credentials, years of experience, availability, location and the settings you have worked in. About three minutes.
- 2
Gilgalcare reviews it
A person reads your profile and checks what you hold against what the roles you want actually require.
- 3
Complete your background check
Run by our screening company. This step is required, and it happens before you can apply anywhere.
- 4
Apply to what fits
Once you are approved and cleared, apply to any open role your credentials meet. Your profile stays private until then.
Where the background check sits in the flow
It is its own stage, not a checkbox buried in a form. A caregiver builds a profile, Gilgalcare reviews it, the screening company runs the check, and only then can that caregiver apply to a job.

Questions people ask us first
Does it cost anything to post a job?
No. Families and facilities post for free. Gilgalcare reviews each posting before it goes live so the board stays real.
Who approves caregiver profiles?
Gilgalcare does — a person, not an automated filter. A profile stays private, and invisible to families and facilities, until it has been reviewed and approved.
Why is a background check required?
Because a family should never be the first line of screening. No caregiver can apply to a job on Gilgalcare until a check has come back cleared.
What credentials can I list?
CNA, a state-registered home care aide or the specific credential your state requires to work as a caretaker, Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Nanny, Physical Therapist, Surgical Technician and Care Driver — plus companion care experience.
Do you cover facilities as well as families?
Yes. Assisted living, long-term care, hospitals and hospice units post shifts the same way a family posts a job.
How do I reach a person?
Call or text (339) 545-8042. Gilgalcare answers, and the number works for both sides of the marketplace.
Ready when you are
Post the job, or build the profile. Whichever side you are on, Gilgalcare reads it and comes back to you.
